Welcome to BBTC MENA - Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference

Turning the 'Bottom of the Barrel' Green

These are facing challenging times for the Global Downstream Industry - Operations need to remain competitive, reliable, and profitable - even under ever-changing market conditions. Energy security is a priority, but so is the need for reducing the carbon footprint of our operations.

Looking to the bottom of the barrel, industry imperatives are obviously evolving but there continues to be a need for refiners to upgrade heavier BoB components and increase conversion to curb low-value fuel oil production. There is also strong need to ensure that all existing residue upgrading units are reviewed to ensure a reduced carbon footprint and reduced emissions.

It is within this context that EPC is proud to announce BBTC MENA, the only event fully dedicated to Residue Upgrading Technologies and Catalysts for the MENA region.

BBTC FOCUS

From a downstream processing perspective upgrading the bottom of the barrel remains a pressing challenge. The event will gather refiners, solution providers, contractors and consultants to exchange on ways to reduce emissions, increase efficiency, improve product specifications, further integrate with petrochemicals, increase profitability, and also meet the industry’s decarbonisation objectives.

BBTC MENA provides an ideal platform to discuss the latest developments in BOB processes & catalysts, as well as the new opportunities arising from the shift towards petrochemicals and chemicals.
