Oxford Flow secures ES valve order worth nearly $1m (USD) with bp in USA
Oxford Flow, the flow control equipment specialist, has secured its largest order to date, valued at nearly $1 million USD, for its ES stemless axial flow valves. The order from bp is a significant milestone in Oxford Flow’s expansion in the U.S market.
The ES Series delivers world-class performance, unparalleled reliability and superior emissions control for a wide range of severe applications in the oil and gas, petrochemical and process industries, and is setting new standards for sustainability and efficiency globally.
With no mechanical actuator, stem or drive train, the ES valve is notably smaller and lighter than conventional valves currently on the market. The ES is operated using a compact, low power, electrohydraulic powerpack, making it ideal for remote applications, as well as making it simple to retrofit into existing operations. Additionally, the valve’s internals are engineered to maximise flow rates while minimising turbulence, which minimizes erosion on sealing surfaces. This innovative design ensures the ES valve delivers long-term zero leakage performance, even in the most challenging applications.
Dr. Chris Kennell, VP of Sales – Americas at Oxford Flow, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with bp for what will be our largest deployment of the ES valve in the Americas market. Demand for the ES valve is growing globally, not just because of its minimal maintenance requirements, but also due to its proven ability to reduce emissions.”
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the company responded to rising demand in North America by establishing Oxford Flow Americas, Inc. in 2020. Based in Houston, Texas, the regional office operates with a dedicated team of full-time employees, supported by the expertise and resources of the global organisation. Its Houston distribution facilities ensure rapid delivery and exceptional service for North American clients. Looking ahead to 2025, the company is poised for significant expansion, marking an exciting new chapter in its growth.
Dr. Kennell added: “With the urgent need to reduce emissions across industries, including oil and gas, innovations like the ES valve provide a necessary solution to a common but often overlooked root cause of the problem: sub-optimal valves. This landmark order marks a significant milestone for Oxford Flow as we establish ourselves as a leader in the U.S. market.”
