Deep catalytic cracking technology for maximizing the production of chemicals
(Webinar) - Optimization of light olefins (including ethylene, propylene and butene) production has become one of the most competitive options for refiners in the transition. Compared with conventional FCC, FCC technologies which optimized propylene production are helping refiners to restructure their product configuration, from fuel to petrochemical production.
You will learn some successful commercial cases, which are aimed to help refiners to select the most suitable and competitive technology to meet the new demand in the local market. Among those cases, the Sinopec DCC (Deep Catalytic Cracking) platform is used as the bridge between refining and chemical industry, such as DCC integrated with ethane cracker for maximizing C2~C4 olefins, DCC plus integrated with hydro-cracking and reforming for full-chemical production, DCC plus integrated with hydro-cracking and naphtha cracking for full-chemical production, DCC pro integrated with residue hydrotreating for maximizing propylene from residue, etc.
The continuously upgraded Sinopec DCC platform shows greater flexibility for different types of feedstocks and has become an important helper for refiners to produce more chemicals. DCC platform has been commercially proved as an advanced technology with the highest propylene yield, more than 20w% by processing heavy feedstocks, while capable of producing high octane, aromatics-rich naphtha at the same time.
