Jason Lu appointed General Manager Merichem Energy Technologies
Merichem Company announced the appointment of Mr. Jason Lu to the position of General Manager, Merichem Energy Technologies Limited with offices in Shanghai, China. Mr. Lu’s responsibilities will include the oversight of Merichem’s technology sales personnel and technical service engineers in creating new opportunities of growth within China while continuing our strong technical services support to new and existing customers.
Mr. Lu is taking over from Mr. Dayong Dong, who increased Merichem’s technology and catalyst presence in China over the past eight years. We appreciate all the time and effort Mr. Dong has provided for the benefit of Merichem during his tenure and look forward to his continued support.
Mr. Lu has more than ten years of experience, starting his career in a coal gasification plant, then working at BASF for petrochemical products manufacturing. He also has experience working for Oxbow Activated Carbon in the Asia Pacific area. Since he joined Merichem in 2012, he has been doing technical services and sales for Merichem’s China office in Shanghai. He has served Merichem’s Chinese customers to a high level of satisfaction, and also provided significant contributions to Merichem’s technology licensing business in China.
“We are excited to have Mr. Lu step into the role of General Manager” said Cyndie Fredrick, Merichem Senior Vice President & General Manager, “and we see a great deal of opportunity and growth in China. I believe Mr. Lu will play a large role in the success of the Shanghai office building on the foundation set by Mr. Dong.”
Mr. Lu graduated from ECUST with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and is currently working on his MBA from SJTU, one of the top four universities in China.
