The NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP acquired the NORWALK Compressor Company
The family-owned NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP (NEA) with its global headquarters in Übach-Palenberg, Germany acquired NORWALK Compressor Company, based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA with all of its manufacturing assets, products, trademarks and the workforce.
NORWALK Compressor Company, founded in 1864, has been under family ownership since 1985. It has a long history as a compressor manufacturer with its well-known “Century”, “Slimline” and “Charger” series for Helium, H2, inert and explosive gas services within the industrial gases and chemicals industries. It has also left its mark in niche applications such as acetylene, HCl and NOx compression.
“NORWALK’s manufacturing capabilities and product lines ideally complements NEA GROUP’s global footprint and product portfolio. With NORWALK’s location, the NEA GROUP’s Service organization, NEAC Compressor Service USA, Inc. will be able to leverage and grow a Northeastern hub and Repair Coordination Center to support new and existing customers of NEA and NORWALK in North America. Additionally, with NORWALK’s large installation base located in Asia and South America, our worldwide NEAC Compressor Service organizations will be in prime position to improve local customer support.”, stated by Alexander Peters, Managing Partner of NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP. Through the integration process, NEA GROUP will continue to fully support the NORWALK compressor portfolio with new sales and existing installations and maintain its operational footprint in Connecticut.
NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP founded its North American headquarters in 1992 in Houston, Texas as part of its regional growth strategy. In 2008, NEUMAN & ESSER moved to its premises in Katy, Texas where it built and established further Field Service, Repair Coordination Center, Parts Warehousing and Local Project Engineering and Management. “We are happy to have the opportunity to acquire a family-owned, operated business, such as NORWALK Compressor Company. This aligns with our core values of long-term strategic decisions, and agile solutions, making that is the DNA of our company”, stated Stefanie Peters, Managing Partner of NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP.
