New HOERBIGER location opened in Aspern, Vienna's Urban Lakeside

After two years of construction, HOERBIGER today held the opening ceremony for its new location in Aspern, Vienna's Urban Lakeside. With the 45-million-euro project, the Swiss Group established one of the first industrial centers in the Smart City. In total, approximately 500 employees from three different locations in Vienna are now consolidated in one shared building. The optimized production operation at the new site provides even greater flexibility to address the multifaceted needs of HOERBIGER customers. The ceremony was held in the HOERBIGER Forum. In the future, visitors will be able to take a virtual journey of the world of applications here, to experience HOERBIGER's performance-defining components and services.

"The new building represents an unbeatable symbiotic blend of our company's research and innovation spirit, our state-of-the-art Vienna manufacturing plant, and our customer-oriented administration," said Dr. Martin Komischke, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of HOERBIGER Holding AG, during the opening ceremony. "Here, our employees find an attractive work environment that is conducive to creativity, where they continue to develop our standard-setting products and services for our customers."

Previously, the employees worked in entities at separate locations, HOERBIGER Kompressortechnik Holding GmbH at Donauplatte, HOERBIGER Ventilwerke GmbH & Co KG in Simmering, and a branch of HOERBIGER Deutschland Holding in Guglgasse.

Future-bound with vision
The architecture of the new HOERBIGER location was aligned with the corporate strategy down to the last detail. Externally, this is apparent from the campus-like atmosphere of the 260,000 square foot development, manufacturing and administrative complex.

One of the highlights is the HOERBIGER Forum, turning the HOERBIGER world into a unique visual experience. Visitors gain an unprecedented view into how the company creates added value for the customer with its performance-defining components and services.

The virtual brand world is also designed to appeal to highly qualified professionals and talent and retain employees at the Vienna location after their apprenticeships and training phases.

Cooperation with research institutes nearby
The new HOERBIGER location in the immediate vicinity of the 'aspern IQ' technology center of the Vienna Business Agency holds the promise of providing impetus for research and development. Here, innovative solutions are developed and tested thanks to the research expertise of the Institute for Production Engineering and Laser Technology of the Vienna University of Technology, with whom HOERBIGER closely collaborates.

For years, HOERBIGER has also worked closely with Austrian universities, in particular the Vienna University of Technology, Montanuniversität Leoben, and Johannes Kepler University in Linz, on research and development.
