Engineers India Limited signs contract with Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation

Engineers India Limited has formally entered into a contract with Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation to render Project Management Consultancy for Installation of ERL Unit-2, in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The contract has been signed on April 19, 2016 in presence of our Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan; State Minister for Power and Energy of Bangladesh, Mr. Nasrul Hamid; and other senior officials of EIL, BPC and Eastern Refinery Limited (ERL). This will be the largest ever single consultancy assignment for EIL in Bangladesh.

BPC will implement the ERL Unit-2 project at a cost of $1.7B over the next three years. ERL was set up at Patenga in 1968 and its installed refining capacity was 1.5 MMTPA, which after the implementation of this project would go to 4.5 MMTPA.
