Oil refinery reconstruction develops

SOCAR Fugro LLC and the Oil Refinery signed a groundwater exploration contract with a view to infrastructure engineering and design within the refinery’s territory and nearby areas. Elman Ismayilov, Director, Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery and Chris Mott, General Manager, SOCAR Fugro LLC signed the agreement, which is based on the package of measures prepared by SOCAR Foster Wheeler Engineering Services and Fluor for the implementation of the groundwater exploration work. The contract envisages preliminary geotechnical, environmental, hydro-geological and geophysical exploration. Researchers will present the obtained data to the developer for further use. SOCAR’s Department of Geology and Geophysics will also be involved in exploration work. SOCAR Fugro joined the number of SOCAR’s projects, including Sangachal terminal and Oil and Gas Processing Complex as a contractor.
