Maire Tecnimont group awarded licensing and engineering contracts

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its main subsidiaries have been granted several awards for approximately €102 million for licensing, engineering services, EP and EPC activities.

In particular, KT - Kinetics Technology strengthened its presence in Eastern Europe with the award – granted by Grupa Lotos – related to EPC activities for the execution of an HVD unit (Hydrowax Vacuum Distillation), which will be integrated in the Gdanksk refinery, in Poland. The project value is equal to approximately €36 million, and completion is expected by January 2018. Such an award is part of the EFRA (Effective refining) capital project, aimed at improving output efficiency of the complex. Grupa Lotos is one of the largest refining companies in Poland, engaged in the extraction and processing of crude oil, as well as in the wholesale and retail of refined petroleum products.

Other awards, for approximately €66 million, are mainly related to the oil & gas, petrochemicals and fertilizers core business. These awards have been granted in North America, Europe and Middle East by some of the most prestigious international clients both in the private and public sectors. Such awards confirm the growth strategy in the higher-margin technology and service area and provide further evidence of the resilience of the Group’s technology-driven business model.
