Urgency for global gas industry to create new opportunities gathers momentum
The global gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) industries are witnessing an unprecedented period of uncertainty as lower hydrocarbons prices continue to have knock-on impacts for project developers around the globe. Even with the International Energy Agency forecasting demand for gas and LNG will grow exponentially over the next three decades, the slump in prices has left many suppliers and project owners uncertain over future cashflow and profits.
The need for leading suppliers and project developers to consolidate and catalyse new business opportunities has never been more pressing, with market uncertainties and long-term customer relationships up for renewal.
The international business and engineering community comes together in two weeks’ time in Singapore to forge and create new opportunities in global gas & LNG: at Gastech Singapore, the world’s largest and best-attended international industry event. New global industry leaders have recently confirmed the participation as speakers and as delegates, including Gazprom’s big-hitter Alexander Medvedev, the CEO of Petronet Prabhat Singh, plus Chinese state giant CNPC’s director for natural gas research, Shan Weiguo and the President of JERA Yuji Kakimi.
Opening keynote addresses from leading regional and international executives include Singaporean speeches from Pavilion Energy and IE Singapore, whilst a major highlight will see BG Group’s Chief Executive, Helge Lund, give his first major public speech since taking the helm at the company nearly 8 months ago. Lund will share what he believes it takes to build a sustainable energy business in the 21st century.
The leading utilities and project stakeholders will be present, with a strong Asian bias, as every leading customer region is represented by the likes of: KOGAS, GAIL, Petronet, Tokyo Gas, JERA, Osaka Gas, CPC Taiwan, CNOOC Gas & Power, E.ON, RWE, ENI, ENGIE and 450 more leading global energy organisations.
Gastech 2015 puts forward a compelling case for delegates to attend. From networking with 21,000 industry professionals and suppliers from all over the world, to keeping abreast of the very latest innovations, Gastech connects unprecedented numbers of people from across the entire LNG and natural gas supply chain.
