Gazprom Neft and RUSNANO Group develop innovative technologies
Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov and Anatoly Chubais, Chairman of the RUSNANO Group Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, have signed an agreement on general cooperation, with both parties agreeing to work together in developing and producing nanotechnologies and nanomaterials superior to those currently available for import.
The aim of the agreement is to support the search for innovative Russian technologies directed at improving effectiveness in field development and exploitation, in oil refining, and in reducing environmental impacts.
he General Agreement determines the general principles of cooperation for both parties, with specialists from Gazprom Neft and the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes working together under special research and development (R&D) and expert groups.
Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov commented: “The adoption of innovative technologies and materials is fundamental to today’s companies retaining their competitive advantage. Work in new areas — including, for example, in the Arctic, in the opening up of unconventional and hard-to-recover oil reserves, in improving refining depth, or in improving fuel quality or environmental sustainability — these are the areas of the industry in which cutting-edge development is particularly active. This, in turn, stimulates domestic enterprises to come up with cutting-edge high-technology products and to be more proactive in devising production programmes to replace similar imported products.”
