SIBUR wins the downstream company of the year at the Petroleum Economist awards

SIBUR was named Downstream Company of the Year in the annual Petroleum Economist Awards (United Kingdom).

In evaluating entries, judges looked for evidence of the implementation of a clear business strategy, that the company’s identified business goals were met, the company’s innovative approach to tackling business challenges and evidence of a commitment to employee development.

The judges were impressed by SIBUR’s clear business strategy, its focus on core domestic business opportunities, the strategic planning evident in its long-term deals and its generally positive results in a difficult business environment. The Group stands out amongst its peers for its sound corporate strategy, high operating standards and clear evidence of innovation in its business operations. The judges were impressed by SIBUR’s investments in the expansion of its gas fractionation capacities, as well as in new facilities such as its transportation infrastructure to secure reliable long-term access to attractively priced hydrocarbon feedstock.
