Jacobs to provide EPCM services at Polimeri Europa's plant in Grangemouth

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc announced today that it was awarded a contract by Polimeri Europa UK Limited (Versalis group), to provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services to support a major expansion at Polimeri Europa UK’s plant in Grangemouth, Scotland. 

Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that the project is expected to be executed out of Jacobs’ Glasgow, Scotland office. 

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing EPCM services in collaboration with Polimeri Europa UK to support the installation of a new finishing line and the associated works. The expansion is expected to significantly increase Polimeri Europa UK’s rubber production capacity at Grangemouth. 

Jacobs Group Vice President Bob Irvin stated, “We have been working closely with Polimeri Europa UK over the last two years to develop the front end design for their new finishing line. We are delighted to continue to support Polimeri Europa UK, and we anticipate the knowledge we have already acquired on the project to be extremely valuable as we move forward with the next phase.”
