Azerikimya PU commissions Nitrogen-oxygen unit and water-cooling complex

Nitrogen-oxygen unit and water-cooling complex was commissioned at Ethylene-polyethylene Plant of Azerikimya PU. The event was attended by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, head of the Executive Power of Sumgayit Eldar Azizov, and Azerikimya head Mukhtar Babayev, and other senior representatives of the state oil company.

During the meeting, SOCAR President was informed that construction-installation works have been conducted by Repair and Construction Division of Azerikimya PU. Commissioning of new facilities will contribute to the effective, stable and reliable operation of “EP-300” and “Polimir-120” complexes of Ethylene-polyethylene plant.

In the course of the event, it was also mentioned that the territory of water-cooling facility covers 1600 square metres. The complex includes water-cooling basin with a capacity of 300 tons, automation and computer-controlled ventilation system installations, diffuser system, inhibitor section and other sections. The water-cooling complex, constructed by SOCAR Oil and Gas Construction Trust, will provide cooling speed of 21,000 cubic meters per hour for “EP-300” complex. Technological equipments of the complex have been made by French HAMON Thermal Europe, control instrumentation, automation and electrical systems, installation-repair works have been carried out by French experts. Commissioning of new facilities will contribute to the effective, stable and reliable operation of “EP-300” and “Polimir-120” complexes of Ethylene-polyethylene plant.
