Illa International and Neste Jacobs intend to co-operate in the phenol process business
Illa International LLC (ILLA) and Neste Jacobs Oy have agreed to develop a combined offering in phenol and acetone production technologies, engineering and project services.
Together, the companies intend to offer petrochemical companies an integrated, cost-competitive "one-stop-shop" approach for the purposes of revamping outdated and developing new phenol process facilities.
ILLA's scope will include licensing and Basic Engineering for their proprietary technology and know-how while Neste Jacobs scope will include Front End Engineering Design and Implementation Service as well as support of ILLA in development of Process Design Packages. ILLA has in its possession best available technologies in phenols and Neste Jacobs has strong references in implementing process development and investment projects in phenol and acetone business.
ILLA and Neste Jacobs see significant market potential in revamping and modernization of existing production facilities as well as in construction of new facilities.
