Intertek opens new energy and industry services facility
Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, announces the opening of a new centralized office and training facility that will bring energy and industry services under one roof, strengthening Intertek’s integrated offering to deliver further value to customers. Approximately 150 employees will occupy the 40,000 sq foot facility location just north of Houston, and offer a broad range of services including technical inspection, expediting, technical auditing and assessment, asset integrity management, technical staffing, as well as consulting and training.
Intertek’s expanding portfolio of services, global footprint, and more than 100 years of technical services heritage supplemented by the acquisition of numerous reputable companies, allow Intertek to offer more quality, safety, staffing, and training solutions to customers worldwide. The company’s Consulting and Training (C&T) group has expanded its training facility and is able to offer more technical, safety and well-control training courses, including IADC/IWCF/USCG-accredited programs. This new enlarged facility also allows for Intertek’s Technical Inspection Services (TIS) and Technical Staffing Services (TSS) groups to more efficiently provide the connected expertise, service excellence, and global coverage that our customers have come to expect.
”We are very excited to be bringing together some major elements of our services to the energy and process industries into this new facility.” says David Corbett, Regional Director for Intertek’s Industry Services business in North America. “Our portfolio of services and expertise has always been closely connected, but the addition of improved training space will enable our teams to more efficiently collaborate to the benefit of our customers. We anticipate more opportunity to develop new ways to help our customers achieve superior safety and quality performance for their critical assets, systems and people”, added Corbett.
Intertek celebrates the opening of their new office and training facility this week with an open house event that will bring together employees and area customers. Special guest Regina Johnson, Vice Consul (Oil & Gas) for the British Consulate-General, Houston, will be attending the event and participating in the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. “This is an exciting opportunity to witness the opening of Intertek’s state-of-the-art facility. Intertek’s growth and development is a great example of UK-based companies achieving professional and economic success in partnerships across regions, specifically in North America.”, stated Ms. Johnson.
