Preparations to resume partial operations at Chiba refinery

Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. express sincere apologies on the concerns and inconveniences caused to the local residents and to all those whom have been affected by the asphalt leakage at Chiba Refinery on June 28, 2012.

Thorough inspections have been made at Chiba Refinery and the company is pleased to report that preparations have begun today to resume partial operations during January.

Accident prevention plans are carefully being followed and strict safety checks are being made, together with obtaining understandings from the local residents and authorities, as works progress for resuming full operations.
