AVEVA wins techMARK company of the year
AVEVA announced today that it has once again won the coveted techMARK Company of the Year award, beating competition from the software, manufacturing and engineering sectors. The award was presented at the awards dinner at the Hotel Intercontinental in London on 15 November 2012.
"I am honoured to receive this award on behalf of the global AVEVA team, who have achieved outstanding technical and business milestones over the last 45 years", said Richard Longdon, CEO, AVEVA. "Maintaining our technology leadership is key to AVEVA's future and our long-term growth strategy. Being awarded the techMARK Company of the Year has demonstrated the key role that our world-class software technology and long-term customer relationships have played in AVEVA's growth and success. This accolade proves that R&D investment is rewarded as we develop commercially and financially successful technology that brings significant business advantage to our customers and value to our shareholders."
AVEVA has continued to improve its market-leading Integrated Engineering & Design solutions with new product releases in the AVEVA Marine and AVEVA Plant portfolios. These include AVEVA Everything3D, a ground-breaking new 3D plant design application which enables the realisation of Lean Construction. In addition, the AVEVA Enterprise portfolio of powerful, enterprise-level Information Management solutions has been further developed with the release of AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.
AVEVA's long-term growth strategy combines in-house technology development with carefully selected acquisitions. In the last two years alone, AVEVA has acquired LFM Software, expanding AVEVA's highly successful 3D laser scanning portfolio, and bocad, a leading provider of structural steel detailing software. These further extend the scope of both the AVEVA Plant and AVEVA Marine portfolios.
Since the launch of the techMARK in 1999 by the London Stock Exchange, The techMARK Awards, sponsored by PwC, has brought together the largest annual gathering of quoted technology companies in the UK. It celebrates the best in the sector and highlights the achievements of individuals and companies, and recognises the importance of access to the capital markets to fund growth and innovation. The Awards attract CEO's and FD's of the fastest growing technology companies plus investment bankers, fund managers, analysts and corporate advisors. www.techmark-event.co.uk/winners
