Alfa Laval wins SEK 70 million heat exchanger order in Western Europe

Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply Alfa Laval compact heat exchangers to a petrochemical company in Western Europe. The order value is approximately SEK 70 million and delivery is scheduled to start in 2013 and be finalized during 2014.

The Alfa Laval compact heat exchangers will be installed in a petrochemical plant where they will be used to condense process vapours in the production of plastics.

“This order confirms the continued high activity in the process industry”, says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group. “And it proves our ability to supply reliable and efficient solutions to the industry.”

Did you know that… the word plastic is derived from the Greek “plastikos” meaning capable of being shaped or moulded - and there are more than 600 types of plastics available today?
