Intergraph and Siemens Energy extend their global alliance agreement
Intergraph announces the extension of the existing Global Alliance Agreement with the Energy Sector of Siemens AG for further multiple years. The agreement was first signed in 2005 to standardize worldwide on Intergraph‟s SmartPlant Enterprise suite of software and engineering integration technology.
In the last years, Siemens successfully delivered more than 30 projects worldwide using SmartPlant technology with applications ranging from SmartPlant Foundation for information and workflow management to the engineering design tools such as SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Reference Data and SmartPlant Review.
The signing of the GAA contract continues a successful and prosperous partnership with Intergraph, providing Siemens with efficient support for all engineering processes. By any measure, Siemens AG is a global powerhouse. For 163 years, the company has been synonymous with technological innovation and operational strength. Today, Siemens‟ business activities are bundled into four main sectors: Industry, Energy, Healthcare, and Infrastructure & Cities. Siemens‟ Energy Sector offers products, services and solutions for power generation, transmission and distribution, and for oil and gas production, conversion and transport. It is the Energy Sector where Siemens leverages the benefits of Intergraph‟s integrated software tools, including centralized data storage, automation, enhanced data management and data integrity, and reduced project hours.
