Unique solutions for plant safety: BARTEC at the ACHEMA 2012
ACHEMA 2012 recently closed its doors having welcomed over 167,000 visitors from all around the world to an extremely successful event. In an optimistic ambiance and with more than 167,000 international visitors, the trade fair ended this time. This world forum of process industry, which takes place every 3 years, showcased 3,773 exhibitors from 56 countries who presented technologies and know-how for the chemical and petrochemical industry.
The BARTEC Group impressed the international trade visitors with a variety of newly developed explosion-proof components and systems, as well as turnkey solutions. Since its foundation in 1975, the safety technology enterprise headquartered in Bad Mergentheim has, due to its innovative energy, become one of the worldwide leading providers for industries working with hazardous substances such as flammable liquids, gases and dusts.
"How important the ACHEMA is for safety technology sector has once again been underlined by the high quality of visitors and talks at the BARTEC trade fair stand", confirms BARTEC´s CEO Dr. Ralf Köster. Since 1978, the safety technology provider has regularly been an exhibitor at the ACHEMA trade fair, which focuses on many of BARTEC’s key market sectors. Also this year, the trade visitors were particularly impressed by the product variety and the problem solving competence of the BARTEC Group. Mobile computers with barcode acquisition as well as operation terminals in wide-screen format with LED displays: technologies proven in general use are made suitable by BARTEC for being used in hazardous areas. As a world first, BARTEC moreover presented a flexible remote I/O system for explosive areas which aroused much interest among the visitors of the exhibition. The jury of the innovation award of the Process trade magazine , which was presented at the ACHEMA 2012, was also convinced by the advantages of this novelty developed by BARTEC. About 110 exhibitors had applied for the award. The BARTEC system was among the top 3 in the category "process automation".
