MCO wins integrally geared compressor for CO2 recovery plant in Qatar

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO), has received an order of integrally geared compressor for carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery plant in Qatar.

The compressor will be used to re-use CO2 in the methanol production process after CO2 is separated and recovered from fuel gas for boosting methanol production.

CO2 recovery technology is utilized in many applications such as urea and methanol production, carbon capture & storage (CCS) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
