IRPC announces strategic cooperation with Samsung engineering company

IRPC Public Co Ltd, represented by President Atikom Terbsiri, and Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd., represented by President and Chief Executive Officer Ki Seok Park, have signed a collaboration agreement to send a team of expert engineers to commissioning and start-up Samsung Engineering’s project in the United Arab Emirates. IRPC Chairman and Chairman of the Executive Committee Prasert Bunsumpun was also present at the ceremony held on 13 March 2012 at Suan Son Room, 6th Floor, Energy Complex Center, B Building.

Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd. has expertise in engineering, construction and management in the petrochemicals and refinery industries. In agreeing to the strategic cooperation with IRPC, Samsung recognises IRPC’s potential as a company with high competency in terms of manufacturing and maintenance in the petrochemical and refinery industries and having skilful staff with long experience. Samsung has selected a team of 11 experts from IRPC to undertake the assignment, comprising 2 maintenance engineers, 2 power plant engineers, and 7 manufacturing engineers. The team will be stationed at the first project, Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER), United Arab Emirates (UAE), from April 2012 to June 2014.
