Haldor Topsoe A/S appoints new Chief Executive Officer
Our CEO since September 2007, Niels Kegel Sørensen has handed in his resignation from his position. The Board has at its meeting today accepted his resignation. The Board expressed their sincere recognition of the 35 years of employment of Niels Kegel Sørensen in the company and in particular his great efforts, first as CEO of the subsidiary Haldor Topsoe, Inc. and later as CEO of Haldor Topsoe A/S. During his term, the company has achieved excellent results despite difficult times in the global market.
Dr. Bjerne S. Clausen has as from today been appointed new CEO. Bjerne Clausen has been employed in the company since 1979, first as researcher in R&D with the responsibility of many of the company’s international cooperations and later as Director of R&D. In 2008, Bjerne Clausen was asked to take over the management of the Technology Division, and as Executive Vice President, he initiated many changes and more efficient procedures, and today this division contributes significantly to the growth, strategy and revenue of the company.
