Topsoe hosts Hydroprocessing course 2011
For the sixth consecutive year, Topsoe has hosted the annual Hydroprocessing Course in Copenhagen. Hydroprocessing update - The course targets Topsoe clients around the globe and focuses on the opportunities and challenges facing modern refineries. With a solid understanding of the theory and practice of hydroprocessing, it becomes easier to optimise the yield and quality of the products.
Knowledge and networking
The hydroprocessing course is an intensive course. This year delegates from 26 refiners from 11 countries participated in the event, where they had the opportunity to draw on Topsoe’s hydroprocessing expertise. The course was also a unique networking opportunity – for Topsoe to meet clients for informal talks and for clients to network with refining industry peers.
The course provided detailed insight into the hydrotreater and hydrocracker technologies, key operating parameters and optimum catalyst choice.
Optimal solutions
"Our goal is to share our knowledge. It is becoming increasingly more important to achieve optimal solutions to obtain high quality fuel products in order to maintain an efficient refining economy. With Topsoe’s extensive expertise, we can equip engineers with tools that can help them to make the right decisions to obtain the highest possible benefit of their hydroprocessing units," says Barry Cooper, Vice President, Refinery Marketing & Sales, Topsoe.
Next year’s course is planned for September 2012.
