Start-up of hydrogen plant in Argentina

Topsoe announces the start up of a new hydrogen production unit.

The new unit is based on steam methane reforming and supplies hydrogen to Esso Petrolera Argentina's refinery located in Campana, 70 km northwest of the city of Buenos Aires.

The plant is based on Topsoe's hydrogen technology and catalyst and is owned and operated by Air Liquide Argentina S.A.

"We are pleased to have completed the start up of this new hydrogen production unit, hereby confirming our strong presence in Latin America," says General Manager Mads Feddersen, Topsoe’s representative office in Latin America.

This plant is the latest in a row of more than 25 plants for which Topsoe has supplied technology and catalyst to the Air Liquide group.
