Triple-offset metal seated butterfly valve

In the KX Safeflex version with the fitting disc seat, there is no high torque and no frictional wear of the disc seal during opening and closing. In contrast, soft-seated valves require a high closing torque to squash the disc seal tight over a relatively long squeezing path in the housing seat. In contrast to soft-seated valves, KX Safeflex butterfly valves do not have dynamic torque during opening. Wide temperature and pressure variations are also compensated by the innovative geometry of the seat angle. This prevents the disc from sticking in the body. The sealing ring can easily be exchanged and is easy to maintain due to its rotational symmetry. A performance comparison of various basic construction series proves the superiority of the OHL Gutermuth KX Safeflex butterfly valve with triple eccentricity wherever there are particularly extreme conditions in operation and wherever there is a demand for high reliability and completely tight sealing.
